Dangerous Persistence
by: Adrienne

Let go the control, stop this continous malice;
Too hard on yourself, so distrusting and callous.
Feeding on sadness, too numb to keep crying;
Looking for harm, an excuse to stop trying.
Get off of this path, following the horns of deciet;
Your body's so tired, as you fall to your feet.
The lord will re-cleanse you, the strength when your weak;
For there's only one way, to grasp the peace you so seek.
