Monster of the Sea
by: Jetanne Davis

She's swimming through a sea of chaos
Through murky waters
and in and out of sea weed.
She's drowning in her undertow
created by the rippling mirrors
cascading through a delusioned mind.
Stillness,
she will never find.
Struggling to no avail
she surrenders to an undeserving.
It takes her pruned heart at ransom
and denies all forms of nurishment.
It stakes a fish hook through her mouth
and watches as she lives without.
