Weight of Time
by: xcoldxstarxlightx

i fell back on the sheets
bloody blankets of chilled memories
i looked up at the ceiling
and saw nothing there

i try and see the something
try to turn my head
but the weight of my skull stops my neck in half

id rather have my future than
have my past
to motivate me

to get me out of here

and reconnect the stars
i hate looking up and seeing nothing.

i hate looking forward into the dome above my head

it gets tiresome
to lift
these eyes

for eyelashes too heavy for my own broken soul.

i am hollow.

help me grab a star.
