Caged Lies
by: Mari

Caged Lies hiding inside
tears begging to be set free
A smile holding the world together
and all the lies inside.

Does anyone know what I do?
Do they know how much I eat?
or where does it go after?
I know I am a good liar to them.

Lying and smiling
filling with laughter
suppressing tears
and throwing up after.

Little Girl with eyes of brown
I look at you and you seem so down
Is it the lies untold?
Or is it your heart is cold?

Feeling trapped in this cage of lies
No one knows what my smile hides.
