Running
by: Kylie Horrigan
I tried to run from all of this
then turned around and saw
That there was no place I could run
where I'd not been before
I'd scaled the highest mountains
and walked the largest dams
Yet still my fears had followed me
till again i turned and ran
But all the running I had done
took me to this place
Where I must decide to run again
or turn around and face
So standing at the crossroads
not knowing where to turn
You tried to help me through my life
and showed me your concern
You brought me to a place where I
could tell you everything
But still I tried to run away
and wished I could take wing
And now I see that I have learned
that when I face the sun
And all things that were right are wrong
no more I have to run
I still run from my problems
but know at least I know
That one must turn and face their fears
when they've no where else to run
