by: Kaitlyn

In my head everytyhing is so distorted
Afraid to consume what i need
afraid to be who i am

If I let the real me come thru
You'd cringe at my dirty ways
At the disgusting truth that lies beneath

I wonder if I could ever get myself back
Could I ever be sane
Can I drive away all that I fear?

There is so much more than anyone will ever see
More inside that I cannot express
So I sleep in this oblivion

It burns inside
It hurts inside
"Everything is fine"

Constantly haunted by what I'll never be
I feel so weak and powerless
Nothing is good enough

It's what keeps me alive
It's all that I desire
Slipping into my unconscious world

Wasting my time in my solitary void
Content with the gnawing pain
That you'll never understand
