The Girl in the Mirror
by: Rose Blackwell

Do I know this girl
Inside the mirror?
With her vacant eyes
And sunken cheeks?

Do I know this girl?
With self-loathing in her eyes
Emotions escaping
Through protruding bones
And bleeding arms

Do I know this girl?
With scars and tears
And unspoken fears
She frightens me.

Could this be me?
This child of pain?
Who has turned her face from light
To look...
Inside the Mirror
