If I Were Good
by: Bec

As if being here embraced in my selflessness
Was the path I had to walk.
I stand here
Engulfed in the flesh that is eating my soul,
Bones are so smooth and luxurious,
and they illude me,
my eyes search for them.
only to find rotting flesh
only to find i will never be good enough.
Judged by a number i will never be good enough.
If i was good i could rest.
I am not good.
