Weekly Eating Disorder Recovery Group
Facilitators: Erin Loughran, Psy.D. & Kristin Warfield, LMSW156 5th Ave @ 20th St.Wednesdays, 6:30-8pmWe offer an ongoing psychotherapy group focused on empowering women to overcome anorexia, bulimia, binge-eating and other disordered eating symptoms. The group is limited to seven members and is appropriate for women needing outpatient support as well as women stepping down from higher levels of care. Through an interactive approach, the group focuses on the emotional origins of eating disorders. Our Approach:We know that a necessary part of recovery is to experience oneself authentically in relation to others. Receiving emotional support while being challenged to change is a powerful combination. Group therapy can provide you with tools to move through feeling stuck and offer alternative ways of relating to others as well as tools to reducing symptoms. This group provides a safe, empathic environment where together, women can find support while challenging themselves and each other to make meaningful life changes. Both Erin Loughran, Psy.D. and Kristin Warfield, LMSW specialize in eating disorders and draw from their experiences at the Renfrew Center of New York as former Director of the Intensive Outpatient Program, and former Director of Admissions. Contact Erin Loughran at 917-886-5448 or Kristin Warfield at 917-405-9640 for registration information
