As a therapist, I believe that each individual is unique in the course that led to the development of their struggles, and in the manner in which they have adapted to their circumstances. I believe in respecting an individual's self-knowledge, and do not impose my own values or judgements. I emphasize empowerment of the individual, by helping one discover their own strengths, and by enabling one to gain insight into how certain long-standing patterns may have become maladaptive.
I have been providing psychological services to adults and adolescents since 1993. I have extensive experience in assessment and treatment of individuals suffering from eating disorders, body image disturbance, depression, anxiety, relationship and trauma issues. As a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, my work is guided by the ethical and legal standards outlined by the College.
