Valerie Wood, LCSW, LCADC
Valerie Wood is Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), with extensive experience in the treatment of addictions and eating problems. Valerie is currently a faculty member at Bergen Community College and at Thomas Edison State University, she is also an adjunct professor at Purchase College (SUNY). Her work has been published in The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) NJ Focus, and in Bariatrics Today magazine. Valerie has appeared as guest expert on eating problems on television and radio talk shows. She has been active in community outreach services, including speaking tours at local high schools.
Valerie is featured on Obesity.com, an e-source widely used for weight loss surgery research and, has been accepted as an associate member to the Association of Bariatric Surgeons. She has been a member in good standing of the National Association of Social Workers since 1993. Valerie earned her Masters in Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service.
