The Attitude Diet - Abuse Recovery and Marriage Counseling ('DrDeb')
I concentrate my specialty in healing the wounds of verbal and emotional abuse. Many people with childhood abuse histories marry individuals with remarkably similar backgrounds. This is not by accident--but it serves as a challenge to the therapist working to heal from both old and new wounds. This is my skill, the product of 30 years in the mental health field, and I offer it to clients coming alone, in pairs, or as families. Certified in Marriage & Family Therapy, I work holistically, drawing on internal resources and external support, and I work spiritually, connecting clients with the bigger picture to make meaning out of their lives and the relationship with their families. I offer a program that works permanently, based on listening to your body instead of telling it what to do: The Attitude DietŪ, deals with food addiction and gently helps you eat for pure enjoyment rather than for other (wrong) emotional reasons. It's all about your relationship with your body -- and with food.
