I have worked with adult women with eating disorders since 1997 both in residential and outpatient settings. Eating disorder recovery is hard work, but using elements from CBT and DBT, directness and empathy from me, along with openness and honesty from you, it is achievable. I will help you develop a support system if you don't already have one, and we will discover what coping skills specifically are helpful to you. We will work through what unresolved issues and/or uncomfortable emotions you may have that uses the eating disorder to numb them out. I also have extensive experience working with trauma. I believe it is important for me to collaborate with a dietician, psychiatrist and physician in order to cover all areas of your treatment.
