Social Support and Help-Seeking Behaviors in Individuals with Eating Disorders: Illinois State Univ.
Purpose of Research: In this research, the experimenters are interested in the methods by which you seek social support, and the factors that contribute to the methods you choose.
Duration of Participation: Your participation should take no more than 20 minutes.
Requirements: You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in this study. You must also have had experienced symptoms of (or been diagnosed with) an eating disorder.
Risks to the Individual: Minimal: The risks are not greater than those ordinarily encountered in daily life, although you may feel emotionally uncomfortable in various stages of the experiment.
Confidentiality: Your responses will not be associated with any identifying information; your name will not be attached to your responses at any point. The data may be used for future research.
Voluntary Nature of Participation: You do not have to participate in this research project. If you agree to participate you can withdraw your participation at any time.
