Psychotherapy for ED
I use my background as a nurse, psychotherapist, and hatha yoga and meditation teacher in my psychotherapy approach. We can focus on depression, anxiety/fears, self-esteem, perfectionism & relationship problems related to disordered eating and body-image difficulties (bulimia, anorexia compulsive/emotional eating and weight problems).
I use a gentle approch to help access your authentic self and emotions that includes in-sight approaches to help understand your self and body-mind approches (such as breathing, art, mindfulness, yoga postures & visualization) to access feeling states. I often use Internal Family Systems (IFS - see their website at www.selfleadership.com for more info) to help resolve old traumas and fears that will help you make significant changes in your behavior, self-concept and mood states. Individual & family therapy. Group sessions are available.
