Psychologist/Therapist
My work in both inpatient and oupatient settings has allowed me to sit with a diverse range of people. I specialize in the treatment of bulimia, binge overeating, weight management, weight loss surgery, pregnancy and postpartum disorders, relationship difficulties, depression, and difficulties common to adolescents. I believe that physical and mental health are inextricably intertwined. To impact one is to impact the other. I also believe that psychological services need to be predicated on a holistic assessment of physical, psychological, spiritual and social wellbeing. My approach in therapy is to respect each individual as a whole person. I work to provide a safe, respectful and accepting atmosphere for self-exploration. Therapy is collaborative between therapist and client; we work together to understand the sources of pain, fear, and unhappiness, and to make changes that will foster more joy, balance, and self-confidence.
