Psychologist for compulsive eating
I have been in practice since 1981 and have taught, trained, and supervised other therapists. In addition to working with depression and anxiety, specialties include all kinds of addictions - substances, behaviors, and relationships with eating and with people. I have had the APA Certificate of Proficiency for over 12 years. Other specialties include trauma of all kinds, especially from violence or abuse, from childhood or adulthood. While I work with heterosexuals, as most psychologists do, I also work with many gay, bisexual, or lesbian people, both individually and in couples. Further specialty is in mind/body integration.
My interest is to help you find and be your true Self, free of compulsions about eating or other things in your life. This means looking at who you really are, the relationships you are in, including that with eating, and what stops you from having the life you want. We’ll see what works, what doesn’t, and why, and you can change things so your life works.
