Hi, I'm Dr. Peg Bailey. I have been treating eating disorders for almost 29 years, having experience on inpatient and outpatient treatment settings. I believe that every eating disordered client has different needs. I help you to learn about your eating disorder, to develop needed skills and to make shifts in your thoughts and emotions. I prefer to work in a treatment team where I treat the psychological issues and work with an internal medicine physician that specializes in eating disorders, a specialized nutritionist and family counselor. In that treatment model, you will benefit from the expertise of different professionals. When I see an adolescent, I ask that the family see a family counselor who is part of the treatment team, so the family is involved with the care, but the adolescent girl/boy may have some privacy in their psychological care.
