My practice at Therapeutic Awakenings, LLC is largely focused on issues related to disordered eating, body image, adolescence, intimacy, and sexuality. My highest priority is the relationship I form with my clients and I attempt to model the open, honest, and direct communication that I encourage from my clients.
Several years ago I worked at an inpatient facility for eating disordered women. While there, I discovered my passion in serving this population and continue to enjoy working with women who struggle in their relationship with food. Similar to other relationships, the relationship with food is a complicated one and the journey begins in undertanding ourselves. What motivates us to do what we do? I feel honored to be a part of the journey where women learn to gain a greater understanding and self-acceptance of themselves, their relationship with food, and their own bodies.
