I have 20 years of experience in treatment and research of eating disorders and obesity, specializing in treatment of bulimia, binge eating, and compulsive overeating. Individual therapy combines insight, cognitive-behavioral, and body-awareness techniques to address both behavioral and underlying emotional and psychological issues. Services provided include diagnostic evaluations, individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and family therapy for eating disorders, obesity, and other problems. My professional experience includes training in pediatric obesity treatment and research at the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY, and 6 years as the Supervising Psychologist at the Johns Hopkins Weight Management Center in Baltimore, MD. I have also completed 3 years of post-graduate training in psychoanalytic treatment of adults. I have been in private practice since 2003. I provide intensive outpatient therapy (multiple sessions per week) when desired or indicated.
