I have experience treating adolescents and adults: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder (as well as sub-clinical disordered eating and lesser known/less frequently seen eating disorders).
I also have training in the areas of night eating syndrome and body dysmorphic disorder.
I have quite a bit of experience working with pre- and post-gastric bypass patients.
In addition, I have training and experience in Behavioral Medicine. I have treated those with chronic pain, insomnia/sleep disturbances, chronic illness, cancer diagnoses, cardiac conditions, stress-related physical conditions, infertility, and those interested in smoking cessation. Health-related emotional distress or anyone wanting to make health-related behavioral changes may benefit from my Behavioral Medicine expertise.
I am competent to treat anxiety disorders and mood disorders as well.
My approach combines CBT, DBT, interpersonal therapy, stress management, and relational theory.
