I provide a warm and supportive environment and encourage you to talk openly about your thoughts and feelings. Together, we can better understand factors contributing to your eating disorder, helping you experience life free from disordered eating and body image concerns.
I utilize empirically supported treatments including Family Based Treatment, dialectical behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. In addition to helping you obtain symptom relief, I also help clients identify factors underlying their eating disorder. By increasing client's awareness regarding the role the eating disorder plays for them, it is then possible to develop new ways of coping and managing emotional experiences. Understanding and working through factors contributing to the eating disorder while learning new ways to cope ensures lasting recovery.
