Judith Gringorten, RCSW ACSW
Judith Gringorten has over twenty years of post-graduate experience in clinical social work. Her expertise and advanced training have been in the treatment of addictive disorders, especially substance abuse and eating disorders. Additionally she has a strong background working with children and adolescents, having done much work in the area of working with children from substance abusing homes. Ms. Gringorten is a referral source for the American Anorexia and Bulimia Association, and is on the faculty of the New York State Office of Substance Abuse Academy of Addictions Training. Ms. Gringorten accepts a wide range of insurance and managed care reimbursement, and also offers a sliding scale. Ms. Gringorten is a Certified Group Specialist, and is currently running a Women's Issues Group that focuses on numerous topics, such as relationships, self-esteem, eating disorders, and family problems. Ms. Gringorten's treatment style is based on a solid understanding of psychodynamic principles, but is combined with her knowledge of the effect of addictions on the family system, and behavioral and cognitive interventions.
