In addition to helping the client who is suffering from the personal affects of having an eating disorder, my practice includes helping the client in the context of his/her relationship with others...to affect change in the couple, the family and any other significant relationships in the person's life. The eating disorder is often felt to be separated from the individual, controlling him/her and I work with the client to integrate the meaning and context of the eating disorder in order to affect change and improve the quality of the client's life. When one part of the system changes, other parts do as well and we will work together to understand the hows and whys to help you to become symptom free! My practice includes helping clients who suffer from Bulimia, Compulsive Overeating, Binge Eating, Compulsive Exercise Bulimia, and disordered eating. I work well within a multidisciplinary approach to treatment and will coordinate with other professionals, as needed.
