Jennifer Maskell Carney, PhD, LPC
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who have anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder, as well as those who have related food and body image concerns (such as food addiction, emotional overeating, excessive exercise, and self-esteem). I earned my PhD in counseling from the University of Virginia and currently work as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC area. I utilize a supportive, strengths-based therapuetic approach in counseling, while incorporating cognitive and behavioral strategies to help individuals work toward their goals. In addition to my clinical practice, I also serve on the faculty at Argosy University and was previously the Coordinator for Eating Disorder Services at the University of Virginia Women’s Center.
