Jennifer Hope Krasner, LCSW
I am a licensed psychotherapist providing individual, group, and family counseling to adolescents and young adults in San Francisco and Marin Counties.
For the past eight years, I have specialized in the treatment of adolescents and their families. I have experience treating anxiety and depression, panic disorder, self-injurious behaviors, relationship difficulties, family conflicts, and significant life transitions.
My primary area of interest is in the treatment and recovery of eating disorders. I support my clients in addressing their experiences of disordered eating, ranging from preoccupations with food and body-image to anorexia nervosa, bulimia, and binge-eating disorder. I believe that our minds and bodies are inextricably linked and in order to achieve balance we must care for them both.
My practice is based in family systems theory, psychodynamic theory, and cognitive-behavioral therapy with an emphasis on mindfulness.
