Houston Eating Disorders Center
HEDC has been established to provide intermediate levels of care to patients who can benefit from outpatient treatment, but need more intensive support than individual therapy alone. We take a collaborative, compassionate approach with the patient, their family and existing members of their treatment team. Our team includes a psychiatrist, dietitian, psychologists and social workers.
The program includes group treatment, therapeutic meals, individual therapy, individual nutrition counseling and family involvement.
This level of care may be appropriate for patients who have completed an inpatient or residential program who want to ensure that the progress they have made can be maintained in their home environment. It may also be appropriate for individuals who have been unable to maintain healthy eating behavior with individual therapy alone.
