Heather Wingert, LCSW, LCAS
Heather Wingert is a psychotherapist committed to the empowerment of women and girls in and surrounding the Asheville area. She is assistant director for T.H.E. Center for Disordered Eating in Asheville and member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association. Her interests as a psychotherapist have evolved around feminist theory and psychodynamic psychotherapy, counter-transference, the construction of femininity and gender, and the connection between emotional literacy and eating and body image concerns.
She holds a Psychology degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She also is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS). She would be happy to talk with you and answer your questions.
