Free bulimia treatment at Stanford for adolescents
James Lock, MD, PhD at Stanford is conducting randomized clinical trial testing out 3 treatments for adolescents with bulimia -- Family-based treatment, Cognitive behavioral treatment, and supportive psychotherapy. Participants age 12-18 with any symptoms of bingeing and/or purging may qualify. In return for completion of research assessments, participants receiving 18 free sessions of therapy with an eating disorders specialist in the Stanford department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Adolescents must live with at least one parent who speaks english, and be willing to be randomized to any treatment option.
