I am a licensed psychologist, certified eating disorders specialist, and certified group psychotherapist with more than 20 years experience in treating women with eating, weight, food, and body image concerns. I work with individuals and groups, from age 10 and up. I enjoy working with all types of eating problems, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, "yo-yo" dieting, body image disturbance, and psychological issues associated with obesity. I use a feminist, "non-diet" approach which helps women focus on the issues underneath eating disorder symptoms and how women can understand the "language of fat". I encourage women to work toward being healthy at every body size and to understand the role of the media and research in developing and maintaining eating problems.
