I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Corona del Mar, CA. I have been involved in eating disorders for many years, both personally and professionally. Having experienced the devastating effects of eating disorders within my own family, I felt compelled to help others in their recovery. My clinical experience includes working at a residential eating disorder treatment facility and counseling at community mental health clinics.
I believe a trusting relationship between therapist and client forms the foundation for healing. My approach is highly individualized, collaborative and strength-based. Once we uncover the purpose and need the eating disorder serves, we can begin the process of recovery, utilizing your own strengths and inner resources to find solutions.
I believe working as a "treatment team" with a nutritionist, physician, and/or psychiatrist can facilitate recovery, and I provide appropriate referrals as needed.
