Elizabeth Winthrop, MFT, PsyD
Dr Winthrop works with people suffering with Anorexia, Bulimia, Compulsive Overeating and related Disorders. She has worked in the Mental Health field as an Eating Disorder Specialist for many years at all levels of care from an inpatient setting to outpatient services. In addition to her education and experience in the field of Eating Disorders, she uses her own recovery from Anorexia as a way to connect with and better understand her client's concerns. Dr Winthrop uses an Eclectic approach in working with her clients as each case needs to be evaluated on an individual basis. What works for one client may not be a good fit for another. In addition to Eating Disorders, she has the skills and expertise to work with a number of other diagnoses and symptoms, inlcuding but not limited to: Addictions and Obsessions, Adult Children of Alcoholics, Depression, Domestic Violence, Self Harm Behaviors, Stress/Anger Management and Trauma/Abuse Issues.
