Formerly a director of the Renfrew Center's Day Treatment Program, I currently work privately with adolescents and adults with all types of eating disorders. My approach to treatment is psychodynamic, with a focus on understanding the emotional/relational functions of the eating disorder. I also use cognitive-behavioral and behavioral techniques to help the individual increase in their ability to cope with painful feelings in non self-destructive ways. I offer individual, group, couples, and family treatment. I routinely refer clients to nutritionists and/or physicians who specialize in the treatment of eating disorders to provide the most comprehensive treatment possible on an outpatient basis. My initial consultation is free.The office is easily accessible via the 1/9, F, N/R, and 4, 5, & 6 trains.
