I am a Certified Eating DIsorders Specialist and Approved Supervisor with IAEDP (the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals). I've been working in this field since 1990. In my private practice I work with anorexics, bulimics and compulsive overeaters on all aspects of recovery: body image, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, coping skills, food attitudes, spirituality. It's all about healing one's relationship with food and with one's Self. As a recovering compulsive overeater myself, I understand the illness and what it takes to overcome it. I also work at Structure House in Durham, NC, where I help people struggling with overeating and obesity. In Los Angeles, I was a therapist at the Rader Institute at the AMI Medical Center in North Hollywood, and the Step One eating disorders program in the Beverly Hills Medical Center.
