Columbus Park DBT: Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Eating Disorders
Columbus Park DBT is a comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy program created to address eating disordered behaviors and co-occurring issues such as depression, anxiety and self-harm.
Through individual or group skills training alone or in combination, our highly trained and dedicated professionals balance empathy and acceptance with work toward changing problematic behaviors. Consistent with overarching goal of DBT, Columbus Park DBT is committed to improving the quality of life of our clients while fostering more control, meaning and pleasure in their lives.
Columbus Park DBT provides DBT skills training in the form and structure by which it was originally designed by founder, Marsha Linehan, PhD. The protocol consists of individual outpatient psychotherapy, skills training groups, telephone consultation between sessions and case consultation meetings for the therapists. This is the standard DBT model that has been shown to be effective in multiple research trials.
