Cambridge Eating Disorder Center (CEDC)
Cambridge Eating Disorder Center (CEDC) is a specialty center that provides high quality comprehensive continuum of care to individuals suffering from eating disorders. Services include a 22 bed residential program for females 16 years and older, Partial Hospital Program (PHP) for females and males 13 years and older and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for females and males ages 13 and over (2 separate tracks of adolescents and adults), and a variety of outpatient services. CEDC’s outpatient services include consultation, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, nutrition counseling, medication evaluation and management, and a free monthly drop-in support group that meets on the last Saturday of the month. The Center is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, counselors and dieticians who work closely together to ensure the highest quality level of care. The Center's director, Dr. Seda Ebrahimi, is a well-known specialist in the field of eating disorders. She is the former director of the Eating Disorder Treatment Program at McLean Hospital, and is an instructor at Harvard University. CEDC is located in beautiful and exciting Harvard Square in Cambridge Massachusetts. The areas blend of retail stores and close proximity to the pre-eminent institutions of higher education is ideal for CEDC’s mission of providing the highest quality continuum of care in a non-institutional community setting to individuals with eating disorders.
