Binge Eating Treatment Study


Researchers at York University are looking at 2 different ways to help people stop binge eating. The study takes approximately 3 hours to complete plus the time it takes you to read and follow a treatment manual. First, you will complete a brief online screening questionnaire and telephone interview to determine whether you are eligible to participate. If you are eligible to participate, you will be invited to York University where you will receive either 90 minutes of education about binge eating disorder or spend 90 minutes discussing motivation to change. You will then receive a free self-help treatment manual designed to help people stop binge eating. One and four months after the session at York you will be asked to complete 2 brief online questionnaires.
