Appalachian Counseling-Tapestry
Tapestry is an affordable, community-based residential treatment center for eating disorders. Using a motivational approach, we are dedicated to helping women develop practical recovery skills in a structured, non-restrictive, non-confrontational environment. Residents participate in individual and group therapy, family workshops, yoga, massage, balanced exercise, expressive arts therapies, DBT, EMDR, psychiatric support, medication management, and equine-assisted psychotherapy. Our beautifully restored Victorian home is within walking distance of Brevard and is close to hiking trails, national forests, waterfalls, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Recent recreational activities included contra dancing, canoeing, fishing, a swim in a beautiful mountain lake, local festivals, and an evening with Maya Angelou at Greenville's Peace Center. Food is healthful and freshly prepared by the residents and staff. Private-pay. Single and double rooms. Scholarships available.
