Annice Ormiston, PsyD
I work with individuals from all backgrounds who struggle with any form of disordered eating and those who feel disconnected from or uncomfortable in their bodies including adults, college-age adults, teens, couples, and families.
I have experience addressing self-harm, trauma, dissociation, mood/anxiety disorders, and difficulties in relationships. I enjoy and have experience working with individuals who identify as members of the LGBTQQI community and individuals from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds.
My style is collaborative, compassionate, and engaged and I emphasize a non-diet, intuitive approach to eating and your body, focusing on self-care and acceptance. My approach is informed by feminist, relational, and psychodynamic theories and a deep appreciation for and attention to sociocultural context.
Background in mindfulness meditation and training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 25092). PsyD from The Wright Institute.
