Amy Smith-Barnes, Psy.D.
Dr. Amy Smith-Barnes is a licensed Psychologist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. A graduate of Emory University and Argosy University, Dr. Smith-Barnes joined the specialty team at The Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders (ACE) in 1998. As Program Director, Dr. Smith-Barnes gained valuable experience overseeing a comprehensive treatment program as well as providing individual, group, and family therapy. After beginning a family of her own, she chose to concentrate solely on clinical work and continued to assess and treat individuals with an emphasis on anxiety management, Positive Psychology, and trauma resolution via EMDR. Dr. Smith-Barnes has transitioned to a private practice setting in Midtown Atlanta. Clients are invited to call and speak with her directly about seeking help. Appointments can be scheduled weekdays and evenings.
