In Loving Memory...

Mariska, I only knew you for a short time while we were both in treatment. I'm so sorry you lost your battle. I hope you finally found peace. I will keep on the fight! ~Tammy

Reading over some of the beautiful notes others have wrote, I do not think words can do this beautiful gentle soul justice. He was my guardian anel, he was borrowed to me only for a short time to keep me alive in the midst of him passing on. We crossed paths as one was choosing to die and one was realising there was hope in life. He saw the illness in me before i even realised it. I am now taking the steps that he so bravly took to recover. I will never forget u, i miss you terribly. It only took two months, but that was enough to fall in love with my soulmate. You may not be here, but you be forever in my heart.

You were there for me when I needed it most. I hope that wherever you have gone that you can find the happiness you couldn't find in life. Love C&H

A Friend
Although I never actually met this young woman, her story touched me and I would like her to be remembered. She was in recovery and on the waiting list to be admitted to the outpatient support group that I attend, and died before ever attending her first group. She died of heart failure from bulimia. May her story inspire those out there, as it has inspired me, to get help as soon as possible and to never give up on recovery. Life should not be wasted or ended by an eating disorder.
