Lena Zavaroni Died in hospital on 1st Oct 1999 after a 22 year long battle with anorexia. She was 35. Lena will always be remembered as the child star with the huge voice whos television stardom was followed by a hit British single, "Ma, He's Making Eyes at Me," which she sang before the Queen at a Royal Variety performance. She appeared with Frank Sinatra and Liza Minelli at a charity concert in Los Angeles, and sang for Gerald Ford at the White House. from others... Oh Lena, how long and hard you struggled with your Monster. You tried so very hard, but he was stronger. Darling, tiny little Lena, you have shown the world how sincere your battle was. You are now in God's arms, where He will keep you safe from any further pain and suffering. You have left your 'mark' on a lot of lives, including mine and Katya's....she loved you so dearly. You will remain, always precious in our hearts and thoughts. (Angel, now you can sing with Frank Sinatra once again!) She found fame as a singer when she was only a child. Her voice may be silenced but she will never fade away. Known by all and loved by many, Lena was a special star. A special supa star who had sung with Judy Garland and Liza Minnelli to name but a few. But fame took its toll and Lena fell into the hands of anorexia. She struggled for many years, at one stage being admitted into The Montreux Clinic where she was cared for by a person who holds a very special place in my heart. Last month Lena decided to undergo some unconventional brain surgery that allegedly 'cured' anorexia by removing part of the brain. She died October 1st 1999, from operational 'complications' (pneumonia). Lena Zavoroni, such a special woman to those that knew her, an idol to those that didn't, and a beautiful star to all... she will be sorely missed.

Tj 12/12/72 - 12/6/98 I love u so much and i am sorry you had to struggle. I belive in you, If you spread your wings you will fly. He died of a heart attack following years of abuse of anorexia and bulimia. You were perfect already.
