Heidi Guenther Age 22. Died of a sudden fatal heart attack on June 30, 1997, in California on her way to Disneyland. Heidi was a corps de ballet dancer for the Boston Ballet, training at the School of the American Ballet and dancing with the San Francisco Ballet. She was expected to continue a promising and already sucessful career. At 5 foot 3 and 100 pounds, Heidi was "ballet dancer thin" but not skeletal. Friends in the ballet company confess Heidi had been vomiting in order to lose weight since March. This sudden death to an otherwise healthy and active young woman is a powerful warning that bulimia can kill quickly and at any time. May she rest peacefully, dancing in heaven... i wrote it for you. i called it "why coppelia starved." i want you to know that i never forgot the steps; i will never forget you. every year, i remember. i love you and i miss you so much.

Christine 13 year old Christine died in San Francisco, CA, in her bedroom from congestive heart failure due to compulsive overeating (binge eating disorder). She weighed 680 pounds and had been immobile for the last three months of her life. Though her mother had sought help years earlier, the disorder raged out of control. Her mother is being charged with neglect and child abuse for allowing her daughter to become so ill, including bedsores and improper hygene care, and continuing to feed her binge food. This tragic, short young life will hopefully spread the word that ALL eating disorders kill and EVERYONE deserves real help. May Christine shine on, free in heaven...

Marlene Cellini She was in her mid forties, and she was the sweetest person in the world. She had a stroke because of her eating disorder.

Caraline Neville-Lister underwent many forms of treatment, but died peacefully. She was a very special, caring woman who deserved more out of life, and deserved to be free. God bless.
